I said I was not going to tell no body, but I could not keep it to myself……Wednesday evening members of my Obnoxious Street Committee began to inform me of the most amazing information. Yes! Revenge is a dish best served cold and it is time to eat up! You got it right I am going all the way in on this one so you better get your seat belt strapped on because Mr. Obnoxious is about to take you for a seriously bumpy ride.
Wednesday at exactly 8:13pm I was hit with a in-box message about a serious tip on someone that is not famous, but a noted individual in the Atlanta Gospel community that is worthy of a post to my blog. The words that I read did not even seem to be real. Immediately I was in utter shock. Filed with disbelief I had to get my glasses out and read the in box message from my iPad at least 100 or more times.
It was no way that I could have read a tip from one of the members of my Obnoxious Street Committee that Tina Culpepper, widow of the late Maurice Culpepper was in jail and had been arrested for having drawn a gun on someone. A scream form the depts. of my soul whaled up out of my body. After calming down the investigation process began. Of course it was no way that I could get any sleep after getting some information that hot. Searching on the internet and even calling all of the local jails was not enough. I had to get in the car and roll over to Fulton County Jail, the infamous “Rice Street” to find out for a fact if Wanaza Tina Trice Culpepper was in fact in jail.
Known for singing “One More Chance” that is just what God gave Tina. It was not until the next day after continuing the investigation process that I, Mr. Obnoxious got to the bottom of just what happen to Tina. Maurice Culpepper owns a condo in Union City, Georgia located at 6354 Shannon Parkway in Old Virginia Condo development. Insiders close to Tina say that condo is in foreclosure and that she is no way interested in saving the property and is not open to allowing any of Maurice’s family the opportunity to take over ownership. So here is just what happen that got Tina handcuffed and detained by the Union City Police.
The young man that had been leasing the condo from Maurice car was booted due to non-payment of the homeowners association fees. According to inside snitches the young man called Tina his new landlord that had instructed him to take his money for the rent this month and find him a place to stay due to her allowing the bank to move forward with the foreclosing on the property. The word is that Tina went to the property manager’s office of Old Virginia Condominiums and acted a complete and total fool like only she can perform. Everyone that has known Tina any length of time knows for a fact that she can act a complete and utter fool. Deep under the facade of a saved loving Woman of God is the reality of the real very mean, evil, conniving, ***** (you fill in the blank) woman Tina. According to insiders Tina turned the office out screaming and cussing like only she can (I, Mr. Obnoxious, know first had how well Tina can go off and cuss due Tina and I having it out some years back regarding the Juanita Bynum Bishop Weeks story). As the snitches stated Tina was not getting her way with the property manger and the boot was not going to be removed without some payment that Tina either did not have or was not willing to pay. She went into orbit and the word is that she threaten to draw a gun on the property manger and the police was called.
The police officer had to handcuff Tina and put her in the back of the squad car while her car and belongs were searched for the alleged gun. According to a good friend of Tina’s that she told the property manager lied on her and that she never said she would draw a gun, but she did tell her close friend that she did go off and act a fool and it was true that she was handcuffed and detained by the officer, but after he did not find a gun the officer let her go long as she agreed to leave the property.
No matter how you cut it this type of behavior is unbecoming of a lady and especially a woman that claims to have a call on her life. On the day of Maurice’s funeral Tina gave a theatrical performance from start to finish. It was almost as if it was her final show and indeed that is what she gave from the beginning to the very end. However, what struck me was during her tribute to her husband she stated, “This is a great day of reckoning!” Tina whaled. It seems that what she did not realize then she was talking to herself.
Since I brought up the funeral I might as well go there!
The drama seemed to have started from the time Maurice closed his eyes until he was placed in his final resting place. The viewing had been cancelled due to Tina not wanting anyone to take a photo of her husband in his casket. However, it he was cremated as he requested there would have been no need for a uniformed armed deputy sheriff standing at the Maurice’s body. Rumor has it that uniformed and uniformed security was at the service. To be honest the service was nice for the most part except for a few bizarre things that took place, but it was a Tina Production so that was certainly going to be the case. According to the family they did not have any say in the planning of the service at all and that Maurice was not a member of a church at the time of his death so how Bishop Steven Hall was asked to preach the service was not clear. The sister’s were allowed to have words and that was about it. From the time the now Lutheran Minister strutted down the aisle in grand fashion in a nice vintage wool dress, tall heels, and a high crown hat with a long morning veil stepping to Hezekiah Walker’s “Left Him Up,” it was to be high church at her demand. Tina looked amazing in monochromatic black, she has was dressed for the big day. Maurice’s casket was draped with a Pall, which is usually the traditional covering for a Bishop’s casket was just the beginning of a number of eye brow raising things that only could be answered by one word and that is, Tina. At one point in the service when the Spirit was high Tina shouted like back in the days at Citadel of Hope Evangelistic Church of God In Christ until she flung her body on her husband casket and cried almost perfectly as if Tyler Perry was directing a church scene for one of his movies. The drama was an Academy Award Winning Performance! Mr. Obnoxious could continue, but it would be in poor taste and by this time you get the point.
The drama with the Culpepper’s was not over with the funeral, but just beginning. Family members have shared with Mr. Obnoxious that Tina expressed to them Maurice did not have a will, which is hard to believe. A man that was very much business minded and always had things in order and even according to Tina the week before he die he was in the hospital calling and making sure the places he served as Minister of Music had things in place for Sunday service. In the words of screaming Tina, “Be faithful unto death, that he might give you a crown of righteousness.” Does not seem to be the character of a man that would not have a will and he knew he was terminally ill. Maurice’s only two blood sisters nor his niece have received one item of his since he has passed. One sister asked if she could have his eye glasses and his iPod for his niece for them to be met with a cold no as a reply. Although, it has been rumored that Tina allowed all the young men that Maurice mentored have clothes and ties of his or other times they requested to cherish of his. One of the sisters is battling cancer as well, but has nothing of her beloved bother. It seems Tina has completely shout his family totally out and even told one of her so called friends that she never liked her husband’s sisters just tolerated them. The know nothing about any of his business affairs or possible inheritance at all.
In closing, Wanza Tina Trice Culpepper I, Sir William G. McCray, III, never got a chance to offer you my condolences for the loss of your husband. You have my deepest sympathy.

My friend who lives in one of Maurice properties and he had a boot on his car Tuesday because the property fee wasn’t paid
