60-yr-old Joe Rickey Hundley & 19-month-old Jonah Bennett
Someone needs to create a show called, “The Darnest Things White People Do” so people of color can “smh” all at once.
So a white man named Joe Rickey Hundley (below) decided to slap a Black baby on a Delta Airlines flight and followed up with a “n*gger” to go along with it.
He pleaded not guilty in a federal court earlier this week, claiming he wasn’t well when he did it.
Ya damn right!
According to his attorney, Marcia Shein, the man was under distress. He’d been up 24 hours before the incident and was traveling to Atlanta to take his only child off of life support after his son overdosed on insulin.
Hundley initially denied calling the baby a racial slur.
Witnesses say he asked the mother, Jessica Bennett to “shut that n*gger baby up” before he slapped the 19-month-old in the face.
“He reeked of alcohol,” Bennett told KARE-TV. “He was belligerent, and I was uncomfortable.”
“And I said, ‘What did you say?’ because I couldn’t believe that he would say that,” she told WCCO-TV. “He fell onto my face and his mouth was in my ear and he said it again but even more hateful. And he’s on my face, so I pushed him away.”
He was arrested, but was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
Following the news of the incident, Hundley was fired from his job as president of Unitech Composites and Structures.
Jessica Bennett, 33, with her 19-month-old son, Jonah, claims the child has become emotionally traumatized after he was allegedly slapped by Joe Hundley on a flight to Atlanta from Minneapolis.
