Just days after announcing that he was retiring from touring after being hospitalized for exhaustion, legendary jazz singer Al Jarreau passed away Sunday morning in Los Angeles. The singer’s manager, Joe Gordon, released a statement–which was shared with EBONY by reporter Darlene Hill–about the singer’s death.

Dear friends, family and colleagues,

Al Jarreau
passed away this morning, at about 5:30am LA time. He was in the hospital, kept comfortable by Ryan, Susan, and a few of his family and friends.
Ryan and Susan will hold a small, private service at home, for immediate family only. No public service is planned yet, but I will inform you if that changes.
Ryan asks that no flowers or gifts are send to their home or office. Instead, if you are motivated to do so, please make a contribution to the Wisconsin Foundation for School Music, a wonderful organization which supports music opportunities, teachers, and scholarships for students in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin. A donation page is here. Even if you do not plan to contribute, please list that page and give yourself a few minutes to watch a beautiful tribute video that Wisconsin Public Television produced to honor Al when he received his lifetime achievement award in October.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Jarreau’s unique singing style helped to make him one of jazz’s greatest vocalists. During college, where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Jarreau performed with a local group called The Indigos before moving to San Francisco. There he hooked up with fellow jazz great George Duke to form a trio.
Inspired to pursue music full time, Jarreau moved south to Los Angeles, where he caught the eye of Warner Bros. talent scouts, who signed the singer to a recording contract. In Los Angeles, Jarreau’s career would take off after the release of his critically acclaimed debut album We Got By. In 1977, Jarreau would win his first of seven Grammy Awards for his live album, Look to the Rainbow.
Dubbed “the voice of versatility” by the Chicago Tribune, Jarreau released 16 studio albums, a host of live albums, and several compilations. The consummate performer, Jarreau constantly toured the world, dazzling audiences with his magical voice.

Jarreau passed away at a Los Angeles hospital early Sunday morning. The singer leaves behind his wife, Susan, and his son, Ryan. He was 76.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God meets Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……Well, trouble has hit Joseph Walker’s house again.  Thank God this time it does not involve Walker directly.  However, the minister of music of the Nashville Megachurch where the Presiding Bishop of Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship is the pastor, had to deal with some very serious issues recently Passenger ‘singing’ in automobile leads to drug arrests

A West Monroe man and Antioch, Tennessee man were arrested last week on suspicion of possession of marijuana and cocaine after West Monroe police observed an automobile passenger singing.
Police observed the suspect – later identified as Sheridan Royce Mosley, 37, of 727 Bell Road, Antioch, Tennessee – “flailing about while sitting in a vehicle that was parked in a parking space,” according to the arrest report.
Mosley was making noises and appeared to spasm uncontrollably,” stated the arrest report. “I contacted Mosley to check his wellbeing. Mosley stated he was singing.”
Police detected the smell of marijuana from the automobile. Mosley told police he took medication that was in his hotel room.
Accompanied by police, Mosley opened his hotel room where marijuana and cocaine was observed.
Devontis Devon Ellis, 24, of 307 Mitchell Lane, West Monroe, was in the hotel room.
Oxycontin pills were observed too, for which Mosley could not produce a prescription.
Ellis and Mosley were booked at Ouachita Correctional Center for having enough drugs to start a CVS drugstore!
Now this leaves a great deal of unanswered questions.  Why were these two sharing a hotel in a city where they lived?  Secondly, why would Royce park and get high instead of going back to the hotel room which was the obvious reason the two of them booked the room?

Obnoxious Media has reached out to both of the men and yet to hear back from them.  We have also contacted Bishop Walker’s office for a statement, but has not heard back.

Vashawn Mitchell has been hired to replace Royce Mosley and started at the beginning of this year.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Capital Hill has nothing on the Church Of God In Christ! You all thought Trump’s Executive Orders has sent America in an uproar Bishop Charles Edward BLAKE’s laying down the law in the Grand Old Church. Thank God he is sitting Mother Rivers down since she was not wise enough to step down on her own. It has been 20 years and three Presiding Bishops and it is time for her to retire. Bishop Blake and Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis are an awesome team and built the largest jurisdiction in the history of the Church Of God In Christ.

The Saints gathered in Little Rock for the Leadership Conference this past January where new appointments are generally announced, but Charles Edward threw a curve ball the church was not expecting when he announced he would reveal his new appointments at the Spring Call. Little did we know that he was having a retreat for the General Board this week in Tucson, Arizona. In a shrewd manner Blake has made new appointments during a private session where he cannot be sawed from his decision.

Just in……Obnoxious Media has confirmed Rivers is out! Lewis is in as General Supervisor. Dr. Rita Veronica Womack is out as the Department of Evanglism Elect Lady and Dorinda is said to be in not sure if they will name a new assistant or if that position will dissolve. Michael Golden has been named Director of the Men’s Conference. Rudolph is the new Adjutant General, not sure if he will remain the Scribe or name a new one. Gatlin is not out as Director of Sunday School, not sure why it was being said that he had been removed. Surprisingly Ben Stephens is safe although he had the plagiarism scandal, but Andre Castro seems to have taken the fall for him. Joyce Rodgers is still chair lady, but it is time for her to do something else.

Just in……As I was writing this post a member of my Obnoxious Street Committee sent me Mother Willie Mae Rivers response, read it below:

Vickie Yohe was the guests musical artist last night at #Prophecology2017 and shared her heart.  During our interview Vickie shared her heart felt devastation of finding out that she cannot have children.  Which is why abortion resinates so heavily with her.  Many people have misinterpreted that disagreeing with Obama and some of his political policies meant you were anti black.  Not so according to Vickie, “I vote kingdom and the principals of God.”

Yohe explained that she adopted to black boys when they were new born and now her sons are 9 and 11.  The artist shared that close to 90 percent of her engagements are at black churches and she felt the church would get more support in the Trump administration.  Vickie and Kim Burrell have been victims of cyber bullying just because they have a different perspective that is based on Biblical principles.  As ministers of the Gospel these women stood in there convictions.

With tear filled eyes Vickie expressed her regret for posting the picture of Jesus with suitcases saying he was headed back to the White House.  Within fifteen minutes a firestorm was created and all over social media.  She took the post down but Byron the time the damage had been done and her intentions were totally misinterpreted.

Watch this touching interview with Vickie Yohe below:

Day 3 of #Prophecology2017 had a little controversy when Bishop Jordan reprimanded Prophet Bernard Awuso for going an hour over his assigned time.  In a very kind fatherly manner he shared that everything is done decently and in order and all of the overtime was actually disobedience.  As a result Bishop Jordan returned over a $40,000 to the people that gave because it was cursed due to it being give out of disobedience.

Mitzi Bickers has not been charged in a bribery investigation surrounding Atlanta City Hall. After losing some properties to foreclosure, Bickers purchased a $775,000 lakeside home in 2011. DAVID BARNES / AJC

Well, we call it Hotlanta, but the spot has gotten hot as a firecracker for real and when this FBI investigation is completed some high level officals will go to prision.  Adam Smith was escorted out of City Hall by the authorities and fired.  His cell phone and computer was confiscated that contains serious evidence.
THE STORY SO FAR IN BRIBERY CASE
What happened: Atlanta City Hall is in the spotlight with a bribery investigation. Contractor Elvin“E.R.” Mitchell pleaded guilty last month to paying $1 million in bribes in an effort to win Atlanta contracts. A second contractor, Charles P. Richards Jr., was charged earlier this month with paying $185,000 to an unnamed person, also to earn city contracts. On Feb. 9, Mayor Kasim Reed released more than 1 million pages of documents pertaining to the investigation at City Hall. The mayor has not been implicated in the probe. “I have never taken a bribe,”he said when making the documents public.
The latest: Richards entered a guilty plea Thursday and is expected to assist prosecutors.
What’s next: Federal prosecutors won’t say when anyone else will be charged in the conspiracy. Mitchell and Richards are scheduled for sentencing April 28.
MITZI BICKERS TIMELINE
1966: Born in Atlanta to Ethel and the Rev. Benjamin Weldon Bickers, founder of Emmanuel Baptist Church in southeast Atlanta.
1989: Graduated from Spelman College.
1993: Elected to Atlanta Board of Education at age 27.
1998: Became pastor at Emmanuel Baptist.
2003: Resigned from school board to run for Fulton County Commission chairman; finished third in a four-candidate race.
2004: Formed the Bickers Group, a political consulting firm and went to work at E.R. Mitchell Co. before filing for bankruptcy.
2006: Created companies in Texas, one of which operated Club Derrty South, a nightclub in McAllen, near the Mexico border.
2009: Worked for Kasim Reed’s campaign for Atlanta mayor, conducting get-out-the-vote activities for a runoff election.
2010: Hired as director of human services for the city of Atlanta.
2010-2013: While a city employee, collected $875,827 in political consulting fees; clients included former DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis, former Gov. Roy Barnes, and Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill. She took a 76-day leave of absence in 2012 to work on various campaigns, including one supporting a proposed special sales tax for metro Atlanta transportation projects.
2011: Purchased a house on Lake Spivey in Henry County for $775,000; records show she paid for the property in two installments.
2013:“Retired”from city government, amid controversy over her failure to disclose income from outside work on political campaigns.
2014: Worked on Republican U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran’s reelection campaign in Mississippi.
2015: Sought government contracts in Jackson, Mississippi, identifying herself to a city official as a“major” donor and“close friend” of Mayor Tony Yarber, according to a federal lawsuit.
2016: Was subject of a federal subpoena for documents from Atlanta City Hall.
2017: Identified as a figure in a bribery case that resulted in guilty pleas from contractors Elvin“E.R.”Mitchell and Charles P. Richards Jr.
Rows of boxes related to the ongoing bribery scandal at Atlanta’s City Hall involve Mitzi Bickers, a political operative and former appointee of Mayor Kasim Reed. She is a key figure in allegations involving city contracts in Jackson, Miss.

She is an openly gay Baptist minister who purportedly supplied a politician with strippers and prostitutes.
She filed bankruptcy, created and quickly shut down companies, and lost property through foreclosure, yet paid for a $775,000 house in two massive installments.
She became a skilled operative for politicians in trouble, but now is in a tight spot herself: the middle of a bribery investigation in Atlanta’s City Hall.
Mitzi Bickers, a former aide and political consultant to Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, moves through social, political and business circles so incongruous they seem linked only by her ubiquitous presence.
But public records and interviews suggest those connections may prove crucial to unpacking an alleged scheme of payoffs for city contracts.
Bickers apparently was the first city official to attract the attention of federal investigators, who subpoenaed all city records related to Bickers last summer, three years after she resigned as Atlanta’s human services director. Those documents comprise many of the 1.4 million pages the city turned over to authorities and then released for public inspection.
City officials said most of the rest concern two construction contractors, Elvin “E.R.” Mitchell and Charles P. Richards Jr., who recently pleaded guilty to federal bribery charges.
Between them, they paid at least $1.2 million to obtain city work. Authorities have not publicly identified the recipients of those payoffs.
Bickers once worked for Mitchell, and she has employed another man who is accused of trying to silence him. Shandarrick L. Barnes, who was chief financial officer of Bickers’ consulting firm, faces charges for throwing a brick through Mitchell’s window and placing dead rats around his house.
How Bickers fits into the bribery case is not clear. But her association, even if by implication, seems to have paused a political career that dates to 1993, when, at age 27, she won election to the Atlanta Board of Education. Candidates in this year’s Atlanta mayoral campaign apparently have distanced themselves from her. Meanwhile, Bickers’ partner in a Mississippi development deal said last week he could no longer get in touch with her and was prepared to replace her.
Politicians and others who have worked with — and against — Bickers say she is a talented political operative, one who modernized many campaigns.
“She is a pillar in the district I represent,” said state Rep. Keisha Waites, D-Atlanta, who in 2012 sponsored a legislative resolution honoring Bickers. “She’s been around forever in the neighborhood. People know and love and trust her.”
Not everyone. Shelitha Robertson, an Atlanta lawyer, paid Bickers $61,100 to work on her judicial campaign in 2010. Robertson lost. When she ran for the state Legislature in 2015, Bickers was on the other side, advising an opponent who launched attacks that Robertson said were overly harsh and untrue.
“It’s not a secret — anyone in that arena knows her and her groupies are the driving forces behind the negative stuff in campaigns,” Robertson said. “They can’t win without tearing somebody else down.”
But Robinson added: “I don’t want to participate in taking her down. She’s going to get what’s coming to her, anyway.”
Bickers, 50, has not been charged with any wrongdoing. She has not responded to repeated interview requests in person, by telephone and by email. At her church, she smiled at reporters after Sunday services but declined to answer questions.
The silence only heightens the mysteries:
Why did investigators focus on Bickers even though she never had the authority to award city contracts? What is her relationship with Barnes? And, perhaps most intriguing, why did Bickers put her home up as collateral last fall for a large bail bond for an unidentified criminal defendant?
Origin story
Mitzi Bickers was born into a world where politics and religion readily mixed.
Her father, the Rev. Benjamin Weldon Bickers, was a boyhood friend of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. In 1958, Bickers founded Emmanuel Baptist Church at the edge of the Carver Homes public housing project in southeast Atlanta. For decades, Democratic politicians made a pilgrimage to seek his blessing, and he once joked that only candidates who visited his church seemed to win statewide elections.
Mitzi was an only child, raised in the church to one day join her father in the pulpit. After she graduated from Spelman College, she became an associate minister at Emmanuel. Her father died of cancer in 1998, and she took over the church leadership.
By then, she had been on the Atlanta school board for more than four years. It was a turbulent time, as board members engaged in public arguments and superintendents cycled through the district at an alarming rate. She quit in 2003 to run for chairman of the Fulton County Commission.
That campaign changed her life: by ending her career as an elected official, and by inadvertently outing her as gay.
In September 2003, about six weeks before the election, Bickers gave a speech to the Georgia Stonewall Democrats, a gay-oriented political organization.
“It’s tough for a black woman to run as a gay candidate,” she said, “particularly for a black female who’s a preacher at a Southern Baptist church.”
Bickers apparently did not know that a reporter for the Southern Voice, a weekly newspaper that covered the gay community, was present. Two days later, after seeing her remarks in print, Bickers said she had been speaking generally, not about her own orientation. But soon after the episode, acquaintances said, she publicly acknowledged she is lesbian.
Bickers finished third in a four-candidate race. The defeat opened a difficult period in which Bickers filed for protection from her creditors in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. She had launched her political consulting business, but she ended up going to work as a manager at E.R. Mitchell’s construction company.
In the mid-2000s, according to public records, Bickers helped start several other companies in an odd mix of industries in which she seemed to have no experience.
Derrty South Entertainment operated a nightclub in McAllen, Texas, near the border with Mexico. South West Financial was located in the same building as Club Derrty South. The Greenwood Group of South Texas was headquartered in a house Bickers bought near McAllen. South City Groundworks was a trucking company in Slidell, Louisiana, outside New Orleans.
Most of the companies dissolved within months, records show. One lender foreclosed on the house listed as the Greenwood Group’s offices. Another took over the Club Derrty South Building.
Efforts to reach Bickers’ associates in these firms were unsuccessful. One of them was Shandarrick Barnes. Corporate records in Texas list him as a director of two of Bickers’ companies, including Derrty South.
Back in Atlanta, Bickers’ political consulting firm prospered.
She stood out from her peers by encouraging clients to use more sophisticated techniques to reach voters — to go beyond yard signs and campaign fliers. She analyzed voter files to craft messages targeted at specific voters, an approach that helped elect several state legislators and city council members. The success brought more business, even from former adversaries.
On Election Day 2009, no candidate for Atlanta mayor captured more than half the votes. Kasim Reed finished second, 10 percentage points behind Mary Norwood. To win a runoff election, Reed enlisted Bickers to boost voter turnout.
By all accounts, Reed and Bickers had never been friendly. Their relationship had been especially contentious since he had supported one of her opponents for commission chairman in 2003. But Bickers took the job and devised a strategy to find voters who weren’t inclined to cast ballots.
The day of the runoff election, Bickers dispatched operatives to bus stops and train stations and street corners — anywhere they could find registered voters willing to accept a ride to polling places. Reed won by 714 votes, less than 1 percentage point. Bickers’ work seemed to have made the difference.
But more than seven years later, at a press conference in City Hall this month, Reed spoke of Bickers in a dispassionate tone.
“She worked on my political campaign and helped me get elected mayor,” he said. “She was given a job.”
Her position of human services director was “not an operational job,” he said, but involved working with people in the community.
“I thought her background as a pastor made that an appropriate position for her,” Reed said. “And that’s all I have to say about Ms. Bickers.”
In financial disclosure filings with the city’s ethics office, Bickers said she reported directly to the mayor. But Reed and his aides say she worked for his chief of staff, two rungs down the organizational ladder. They say she had no role in choosing contractors for city work.
“She was very self-promoting,” said Jenna Garland, Reed’s press secretary.

Bickers
’ job with the city paid $62,500 a year — a small part of her actual earnings while working for the government.
Campaign finance records show that Bickers and companies with which she is affiliated took in $875,827 from 21 candidates and political committees between February 2010 and May 2013. She performed some of that work during an unpaid, 76-day leave of absence from her city job in 2012. It is not clear from the records exactly how much of the money went directly to Bickers.
In 2013, Channel 2 Action News reported that Bickers had failed to disclose outside income to the city ethics office, violating city rules. Bickers amended her financial disclosure statement, but she said in a letter to the ethics office that she did so only after “media inquiries and political attacks.”
She resigned later in 2013.
While working for the city, she bought a 5,200-square-foot house on Lake Spivey in Henry County. She made a down payment of $524,000 in June 2011, according to property records. She paid the other $251,000 less than a year later.
Jackson
Bickers ’ success in Atlanta campaigns opened doors in another Southern capital: Jackson, Mississippi. There, she would try to parlay her political work into lucrative government contracts.
Tony Yarber, himself a pastor and politician, hired Bickers in 2014 to lead voter-turnout efforts in his mayoral campaign in Jackson. He and Bickers apparently remained close after his victory.
A few weeks after the election, Bickers played host at a dinner honoring Yarber in New Orleans, according to a federal lawsuit filed by Yarber’s former administrative assistant, and Kimberly Bracey, who claims he sexually harassed her.
After that dinner, Bracey’s lawsuit alleges, Bickers picked up the tab for Yarber and his aides at a strip club, including a private encounter between the mayor and a stripper.
Twice, Bracey accompanied Yarber to Atlanta for fundraising events that Bickers   organized. In August 2014, her suit says, Yarber’s group took a boat ride to Bickers’ house on Lake Spivey, expecting dinner. Instead, the suit alleges, they were greeted at the door by strippers wearing nothing but body paint.
At the second fundraiser the following month, the suit claims, Bickers brought the strippers back to her house and arranged for a woman to have sex with Yarber.
The mayor has denied the allegations. Bracey’s lawyer declined to comment.
About the same time, Bickers incorporated a company called Mississippi Developers, and she began seeking city contracts in Jackson.
In another federal lawsuit against Yarber, Stephanie Coleman, who managed Jackson’s equal business opportunity office, alleged Bickers tried to inappropriately influence bidding on a $400 million upgrade to the city’s water and sewer systems.
In the lawsuit and in an interview last week, Coleman said Bickers first came to her office to ask about getting certified as a minority-owned business to take part in city contracts. A few days later, Bickers surprised Coleman with an invitation to a downtown Jackson restaurant.
Over dinner, according to Coleman, Bickers described herself as a “major” donor and “close friend” of Yarber’s. Then she brought up a management contract for the water and sewer project.
“She just wanted me to know that the mayor has already said we’re going to get this contract,” Coleman said last week. Bickers also asked for Coleman’s help in making her minority-business application appear legitimate, Coleman said. She quoted Bickers as saying, “You just need to tell us how to fix it.”
Yarber has also denied Coleman’s allegations.
Bickers’ company did join a team that bid on the management cont rac t, although the bid was eventually rejected. Now she is a minority partner in a group seeking to develop a $75.5 million hotel next to Jackson’s convention center.
“She is a very well-connected woman,” Yarber said in an interview with the Jackson Free Press, a weekly newspaper, last month. “She’s a kingmaker, that’s what she is, and she is the kind of person that understands her roles in different spaces.”
Low profile
On Aug. 19, federal investigators delivered a subpoena to Atlanta City Hall, demanding all documents related to two people: Bickers and her friend Keyla Jackson. It was the first indication that authorities were looking into possible corruption in Reed’s administration.
In his news conference this month, Reed would not say whether authorities have identified Bickers as a target of the investigation. No public records except the subpoena connect her to the case.
But documents filed in the Henry County courthouse add a puzzling element to the story. On Oct. 24, the records show, Bickers used $88,701 of equity in her home to secure a bond posted by Anytime Bail Bonding Inc. Jail records do not indicate Bickers herself has been arrested in the past year, and federal officials said they have not taken her into custody. The bond could be unrelated to the federal investigation.
In recent weeks, Bickers has kept a low profile, except at her church.
Last Sunday, dressed in black pants, a black jacket and a purple shirt with a white clerical collar, Bickers preached to a crowd of about 60. Her sermon recalled the Exodus story of Moses leading the Israelites out of their bondage in Egypt, parting the Red Sea to elude Pharaoh’s army.
Her voice rose and a drummer slowly brought his cymbals to a shimmering crescendo as she spoke of how the Israelites praised God when they reached the shore.
“The water started coming together again,” she shouted. “Guess who’s in the middle? Pharaoh and his army. …
“When you begin to praise God, what happens is it will drown your enemies,” she said. “It will cause your enemies to drown. And not only your enemies, their whole army will drown in the Red Sea.”

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……February 21, 2017- 2x Grammy® Award winning Gospel Singer Hezekiah Walker, lands $80 million project with New York City, to put low income housing and senior living on property he owns. The project will be completed by SLCE Architects, LLP and will include 241 units that will cover one full New York City block.

Walker met with the architect team and New York City planning board who have signed on to the project, that will go to closing in June 2017.
In 1994, the Brooklyn, East New York property became the home of the of the Gospel Singers rehearsal spot. Renting a small portion of the property for rehearsal, it later became the Love Fellowship Tabernacle Church.
After rapid growth, the singer found a larger facility to accommodate his congregation and after a few years they were able to purchase the entire property.
The East New York section of Brooklyn has become NYC’s hottest community and the Gospel singer’s property has become prime location.
Walker had thoughts of selling the property due to New York’s booming real estate market but opted not to. The property was vacant and abandoned for years until producers of the Netflix original series, “The Get Down” rented out the property for well over a year.
New York City planning applauded the Gospel singer for his partnership with the Mayor’s initiative to bring affordable housing to the community. The development of the Gospel singers property will consist of low income housing, retail commercial space and a community rental space, in which Walker hopes to open up a youth center and music school.
Who knew Hez had this kind of money?  No wonder Monique found her way back in his life!

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……While in New York recently I was told by some gospel music insiders that Kirk and Tammy had been separated.  Not sure how true this after church gossip is or not, but it sounds like it might have some truth to it after listening to a recent interview Tammy had with Eric Campbell.  Not sure what is going on with the two of them, but hopefully they worked it out.

The wife of Gospel singer Kirk Franklin said that counseling and prayer were important parts of saving and strengthening her marriage.

In an interview with “Mary Mary” star Erica Campbell on Campbell’s show “Get Up! Mornings With Erica Campbell,” Franklin said counseling and prayer are so important, as well as having a true friendship with one’s spouse.
“I think that as a culture we kind of shy away from counselling and therapy, but it’s important. It says that you love each other enough, love yourself enough to get the help that you need,” she said. “And so we’ve done counseling; it has saved our marriage. We pray together and I’m not only his wife, but I’m his girlfriend.”
“When you have a girlfriend and [you all] are at odds with each other, it just [doesn’t] feel right, it just hurts you. But sometimes we’re not like that with our spouses,” she continued. “But if you have a friend in your spouse, then my heart aches when we get into it. I’m like, ‘Ok I’m ready to talk through this, let’s get back.'”
Kirk and Tammy have been married since 1996. They both have a child from previous relationships, and they also have two children together.
Kirk Franklin recently won a number of awards at the Grammys, including awards for the year’s Best Gospel Album for “Losing My Religion” and Best Gospel Performance/Song for “God Provides.”

Congrats, Tyrese!

Although, it seems he did not marry his baby momma.  We will never forget his jumping on her and kicking her in the stomach to only run to his pastor Kenneth Ulmer’s (Pastor of Faithful Central) house to escape going to jail.  Oh, congratulations again.

The 38-year-old singer took to social media on Tuesday to reveal he secretly tied the knot on Valentine’s Day with a stunning video, set to Brian Courtney Wilson’s “I’ll Just Say Yes,” highlighting all the special moments from his nuptials.
Although he didn’t reveal Mrs. Gibson’s real name, it’s clear he’s head over heels in love with the gorgeous gal, who wore a silk pink dress and bejeweled headpiece.
One hour before he shared the video, he teased his announcement by reposting a Facebook message he once wrote to his “wife of the future.”

“Some of you guys may remember this post from a while back,” his post began. “I can’t tell you how crazy my life is right now…… I’ve shared with you guys it’s VERY important when you pray to pray ‘specific’ prayers…… and God will specifically bless you with all that your heart desires.”
“Message to my wife of the future….: I just finished designing our private SPA it’s called #TheVSpa in my backyard,” he continued. “Hello my name is Tyrese Gibson….. [I’m] a KING seeking my QUEEN….. Nothing to just smash and dash…. I’m talking a REAL WOMAN….. Not just a pretty face….. A classy, sophisticated women with an angel heart…. Heart soooo committed to the Lord Jesus Christ that I feel the pressure to get even closer to HIM in order to attract her even more.
“I’m talking about a woman soooooo lady like and in tune with her femininity that she doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body,” he added. “She lets a King be a KING!!!!!! The music is right and I also made sure you have a throw rug in case you get cold and or you don’t want anyone to walk by and take a sneak peak at my business under that skirt.”
He concluded his post by stating that “preparation meets opportunity.”
“I’m prepared for YOU,” he gushed. “When I meet YOU…… I won’t be single for long I feel it in my soul…. To God be ALL the glory!!!!”

Barack and Michelle Obama have signed book deals that may be the most lucrative ever for White House memoirs.
While the financial terms have not been officially disclosed, published reports have put the dollar figure Penguin Random House paid anywhere from $30 million to $65 million for both books.
Even the low figure would blow the doors off the $15 million that Knopf, a division of PRH, paid Bill Clinton for his 2004 tome, “My Life,” and the $10 million George W. Bush was paid by Crown for his 2010 memoir “Decision Points.”

Former president Barack Obama waves with his wife Michelle Obama at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland on Jan. 20, 2017.

“We are absolutely thrilled to continue our publishing partnership with President and Mrs. Obama,” Penguin Random House CEO Markus Dohle said in a statement announcing the deal. “With their words and their leadership, they changed the world, and every day, with the books we publish at Penguin Random House, we strive to do the same.”

Dohle vowed their book launches will be “global publishing events of unprecedented scope and significance.”
Neither Dohle nor the heavyweight Washington lawyers who repped the Obamas — Robert Barnett and Deneen Howell of Williams & Connolly — dished any details about when the books would be published, what their titles might be, or how much the former first couple are being paid.
Nor would a spokesman for The Office of Barack and Michelle Obama.
Barack Obama’s book is expected to be a behind the scenes account of his eight turbulent years in the White House. Michelle Obama’s planned book is described by the Associated Press as “an inspirational work for young people that will draw upon her life story.”
Publishers Weekly, which is pretty much the Bible of the industry, reported the auction price for both books was $30 million. It cited as its source a “high-ranking publishing executive who had been in on the negotiations.”
The Financial Times, however, pegged the figure at a “record-breaking” $65 million and cited as its source “people briefed on the auction.”
Obama was a critically-acclaimed writer even before he got to the White House in 2009. His books “Dreams From My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope” were both best bestsellers and earned him millions.
The former first lady is also already a published author. Her book about food and gardening, “American Grown,” was published in 2012.
The Obamas are expected to donate what Penguin Random House called a “significant portion” of their proceeds to charity as well as the non-profit Obama Foundation.

Obnoxious Breaking News!  Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God meets Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……In response to an Eventbrite notice noting in part, “[t]hus, we the people we be able to witness the face-to-face Bishop Charles E. Blake meeting of Rev. Dr. Earl Carter. On March 8th, 2017,” and providing the Tampa Courthouse address for a scheduled hearing of the Bishop Charles Blake vs Earl Carter matter, Me, vers of my Obnoxious Street Committee attended the proceeding. Blake did not attend the hearing as suggested in the Eventbrite, but was represented by counsel. Carter attended the hearing, which resulted in his immediate arrest.

As you all know for the past three years Earl Carter has gone on Social Media calling the Presiding Bishop Charles Edward Blake a homosexual and pedophile without any proof to support his allegations or witness.  Earl preached on Saturday Night of the Holy Convocation that was gross and in poor taste.  As a result, Earl was delt with swiftly and did not like the response of Bishop Blake, which resulted in his attack on the church and other leaders for three years.  Here is an excerpt from the message Earl Carter preached below:

Carter was taken into custody by the Federal Marshall for Contempt of Court. The Judge ordered Carter to remain incarcerated until all videos defaming Blake be removed. Carter was held in contempt for refusing to remove Youtube videos that defamed Blake. It was argued that Carter not only refused to remove defamatory videos but promised to continue his unlawful conduct despite Blake winning the lawsuit against him.

Carter had numerous supporters in the court. When Carter was handcuffed, a well-tattooed supporter began to shout out and was forcibly removed from the courtroom.

At the time of this reporting, Earl Carter’s Youtube channel had been removed.

According to Earl Carter’s wife Beverly she took the entire page down.  She seems to have been sick of the entire situation and was more than feed up.  She said that Earl was handcuffed and that the judge wanted to discuss this matter with him.  A number of the viedos had been removed, but it was two more in question that lead to Earl being detained.  Beverly said that she took the authority to remove the entire page.

Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……According to Reports, actor Laurence Fishburne’s daughter was arrested in Florida.  It is being reported:

Montana Fishburne, the daughter of actor Laurence Fishburne, was arrested for a suspected DUI in Florida over the weekend.
The 25-year-old was arrested early Saturday near her home in Fort Lauderdale, after two Florida Highway Patrol officers responded to an accident on the I-95, according to the arrest paperwork. The accident occurred after she allegedly rear-ended a white Land Rover with her white Toyota Corolla.
She was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors — DUI, DUI with property damage, and DUI with a blood alcohol level above 0.15. After spending the night in the Broward County Sherriff’s Office jail, Montana was released the next morning after posting a $2,500 bond.
News of the arrest was first reported by the Daily Mail on Monday morning.
Montana made headlines in 2010, thanks to a brief dalliance with the adult film industry. At the time, it was reported that her father was angry she’d used her real name to kick off her career.
She is one of two children from Laurence’s first wedding to Hajna Moss. Her brother, Langston, was born in 1987. Laurence has a third child, 9-year-old Delilah, from his second marriage to actress Gina Torres.

Joni Sledge of the group Sister Sledge, best known for the iconic disco 1979 anthem We Are Family, has died at 60.

The group’s publicist, Biff Warren, said Sledge was found at home in Arizona and they have yet to determine a cause of death. She had not been ill, he said.
“We miss her and hurt for her presence, her radiance, and the sincerity with which she loved & embraced life,” the group said in a statement.
Sister Sledge was originally made up of Joni and three of her sisters — Debbie, Kim, and Kathy — though Kathy parted ways with the group in 1989. They hailed from Philadelphia and formed the group in the early 70s, inspired by their opera-singing grandmother.

Their biggest hit, “We Are Family”, written by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of Chic, came eight years after they got together and during a difficult time for the group professionally.
“We were saying: ‘Well, maybe we should go to college and just become lawyers or something other than music, because it really is tough,’” Sledge told The Guardian in an interview last year.
The We Are Family recording session (their big hit was also the title of the album on which it was recorded) “was like a one-take party – we were just dancing and playing around and hanging out in the studio when we did it,” she added.
Another song from the same album, “He’s the Greatest Dancer,” also climbed the charts and was later sampled in Will Smith’s hit 1998 single “Gettin’ Jiggy wit It.”

Sister Sledge was still touring, despite the fact that their biggest hit came out almost 40 years ago. They performed for Pope Francis in 2015, and last played as a group in October, as Rolling Stone reported. They were scheduled to play in Louisiana next week and had performances in Europe coming up.

Chart-topping, urban inspirational recording artist, Charles Jenkins (Awesome, War, Winning), has partnered with Kevin Liles Management. “Charles is a mogul of faith, music and leadership and which we are growing through KWL’s proven approach to talent management where we provide a full service home for talent, capable of providing holistic thinking, infrastructure and expertise across all areas of their careers,” says Liles who guides the careers of artists such as D’Angelo, Trey Songz and K.Michelle

In spite of Charles‘ behavior he still manages to get a pass card and never fo reed to deal with the error of his ways.  Charles was busted in an affair with a woman that he gave a job at his church just to be close to her.  His nude picture of him bushing his teeth with his hand on his butt, to his with hitting him with her SUV when he was coming from his girlfriend’s house to his questionable financial practices at the church where he is still the pastor.

Billboard Magazine R&B Editor, Gail Mitchell, has the scoop on the new venture and Billboard.com premiered Jenkins’ new #positiveair music video, “Reaching for the Sky,” today. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/7718084/charles-jenkins-reach-for-the-sky-video

The merger was orchestrated by Rita Lee (NuFace Entertainment) and Tony Austin (Tony Austin Music Group). “Rita Lee introduced me to Kevin Liles and there was immediate synergy,” Jenkins says. “When we met, the chemistry was natural and organic like we had met before so it was a natural fit. Additionally, who wouldn’t want to work with Kevin Liles, he has also built the careers of many of music’s royalty and he continues to provide leadership in every aspect of the music business at the highest levels.”
Charles Jenkins has recorded some of the biggest gospel hits of the last five years such as the No. 1 smashes “Awesome” (22 weeks) and “War” (5 weeks) with Fellowship Chicago. Last year, he stepped out of his musical pulpit onto the streets with his first ever solo album “Think About These Things” (Inspired People/Empire), an urban inspirational set that spawned the Adult R&B/Gospel radio smash, “Winning.”

Grammy Award Winning Pastor Charles Jenkins Nude Photo Leaked By Ex-Girlfriend Last Year

Follow me on Twitter @WilliamGMcCray and Instagram @SirWilliamGMcCrayIII to keep on the latest!

Obnoxious Media had to resurrect this story on Charles Jenkins, who actually hosted a Steller Awards after party to promote his new album. It seems e forgot about his scandal. What is this attitude that you can live any ratchet way and act like it is okay?

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God…..……Well, this is just a mess! While the Chicago pastor was at the White House this morning according to his post on Twitter (<strong>@CharlesJenkins7</strong>) his photo was being passed around all over the country. According to members of my <strong>Obnoxious Street Committee</strong>, a former employee of <strong>Pastor Charles Jenkins</strong>’ is very upset now that her services are no longer needed. It seems that this disgruntled woman may have been more than an employee – are the rumors running through the church community.

Allegedly, the woman attempted to blackmail God’s called servant and demanded $20,000 in cash to keep his secrets secret (rumored she might actually be owed the money as compensation for her employment). However, according to conjecture, she was only paid half and the remaining balance was not delivered as planned. Apparently, this woman was obviously very close to <strong>Charles Jenkins</strong> to have such a compromising photo of him naked while brushing his teeth. Sources close to the successor of the legendary <strong>Clay Evans</strong>, who pastored Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, will stagger releases on <strong>Charles Jenkins</strong> every week until she is paid in full.

Looks like the scorned woman is off to a very good start especially since she started out with a nude. We can only imagine what’s next and next and next. Assuming she took the picture, we can surely speculate that their relationship didn’t end on a good note and she’s left with some power. Whether this was taken before his marriage and pastoralship, why would he knowingly pose for a nude picture to be taken of him, has he not read my blog?! <strong>Obnoxious Media</strong> spent a great deal of efforts attempting to reach the infamous “My God Is Awesome” psalmist but to no avail. I really wanted to give him the opportunity to explain the background for the picture being taken and how this young lady got it but. . . This is a very unfortunate situation for the young pastor that was seemingly doing so well with keeping a supposed clean image. He has a great gospel album out, community outreach, historic church handed to him, and his own Gospel Music label just to name a few of his accomplishments. Now he has a scandal with his name and nude pictures on it for the world to see. Hopefully it is not him! However, a little ratchet behavior seems to be the order of the day.

How fitting for the title of his Grammy Award winning album to be ‘The Best Of Both Worlds’ now that we know <strong>Charles</strong> knew first hand what it was like to be a prominent pastor and the common cliche’ dude playing on the side while playing Holy simultaneously. With his good guy image, he was very likeable and the thoughts of him being a part of a scandla would never enter the thoughts of most. I guess he hasn’t been coached properly by the big wigs in the church business that should have warned him to just pay the woman off so she can go away quietly with his attorneys present, of course.

Read a recent interview of <strong>Charles Jenkins</strong> with BET below:

My own personal mantra is “Don’t box me in.” God has given me versatility, diversity of ability, ingenuity and superfluity and uncommon purposeful fertility so don’t box me in…because you can be judgmental, stereotypically framing me, even if it’s accidental so don’t box me in because I’m liable to be serving anywhere, I’ve got an all-access pass on every major thoroughfare. I’m looking for fear so I can chase it, low self-esteem so I can erase it, or just a little faith so I can lace it with motivation, or inspiration so we can turn this meeting into a reinvent-you orientation. Don’t box me in!

I’m always told that I think too big or people ask me why I try to do so much. When I listen to <strong>Richard Branson’s</strong> story of founding Virgin Records then Virgin America Airlines, then for him to think about a space shuttle, Virgin Galactic, to take people to the moon, I am beyond excited to see that he started with unfathomable ideas that have become chronicled realities. A lot of people weren’t rooting for him in the beginning. However, he wanted to create higher quality entities that would create new paradigms across the world. People may think you’re crazy when God has got you in a space of originality or creativity but you’ve got to embrace what He has given you. Go hard and know that all that matters is the fruit or results that will impact people’s lives for good.

I am working to open a charter school to focus on the STEM fields — science, technology, engineering and math. While we talk about unemployment, there are so many jobs that are available that we have not been trained for or equipped for, so that leads me to be a proponent of STEM education and any traditional public school academic programs that are available to help our kids be prepared for the workforce.

Next, I’m leading a large-scale project called the Legacy Project with an amazing team. It’s our holistic commitment to building people and building community in Chicago. It’s a 14.5 acre site with a 230,000 square-foot building on it. It’s a $26 million investment into a Chicago inner-city neighborhood to build a place where people can work, a place where people can eat, a place where people can learn, a place where people can be rehabilitated, a place where people can get health care. It’s our commitment to education, 400 new jobs, public safety, wellness, and economic development.

This concept of giving back was instilled in me long before now. My brother and I grew up in St. Petersburg, FL, visiting the sick, taking food to people who couldn’t afford it, washing other families’ clothes and taking people out to dinner with us who couldn’t take themselves. We grew up going to funeral homes, just rolling up on people, hugging total strangers and checking on people. I watched my mother send money to my uncles who were in prison. My mother made giving important to me so it became ingrained in my DNA. Now as I live out my faith, philanthropy is a very integral part. I feel like we are filled to pour into others.

I’m hopeful that as a father of three, my giving back is a demonstration for them, just like my mother passed it to me. There’s a passage that says a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. That’s not just materialistic; money, stuff, or things. It is important to set up the next generation in terms of principles, precepts and best practices. I hope that giving back creates a legacy that lives beyond my life through theirs.

Whether he is making music as a Grammy Award-winning songwriter, preaching or leading, <strong>Pastor Charles Jenkins</strong> is doing one overarching thing: inspiring the masses to be their best through every vehicle possible. As senior pastor of <strong>Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church</strong> of Chicago, 38-year-old <strong>Jenkins</strong> serves thousands of individuals through various outreach efforts. He is also founding president of the Fellowship Educational and Economic Development Corporation (FEED), which focuses on urban renewal in Chicago inner-city neighborhoods. <strong>Pastor Jenkins</strong> lives, leads and serves out of the box!

Obnoxious Media is excited to announce the 67th Annual Women’s International Convention and Crusade of the Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) in Orlando May 29-June 2.  This will be the first time Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis will address the National Church as the General Supervisor of Women.  This will certainly not be one to miss.  Mr. Obnoxious has been told that Mother Lewis‘ Jurisdictional Women’s Conversation is excellent and we know she will do a stellar job for the national church.  In the words of Bishop Blake, “We see you in the future and you look much better than you do right now!”

Now the national church will give Mother Willie Mae Rivers a farewell love shower, but according to her she might not need anything from COGIC since she gets such nice treatment from the AME church.  We should let them give her a love shower along with that parking space she boasted about not long ago.  It was down right embarrassing to watch mother behave in such a way after having been the General Supervisor for 20 years.  Class can not be bought no matter how much money you have.  The church has been good to Mother Rivers and she and her family live well as a result of the Saints.  Go out gracefully and not a bitter old lady!

Onward and upward for the Church Of God In Christ everyone come out to hear Mother Lewis Inaugural Address as the General Supervisor of the Department of Women!
