LINCOLN UNIVERSITY NAMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AND PROVOST
Dr. Said L. Sewell III has joined Lincoln University of Missouri as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. Dr. Sewell most recently served as the Assistant Provost for Academic Affairs at Kent State University (Kent, Ohio).
Sewell served as the Dean of Undergraduate Studies and an Associate Professor of Political Science also at Kent State. Dr. Kevin D. Rome, Sr., President of Lincoln University, says Sewell’s experience will provide a strong foundation for his responsibilities in the university’s top academic administrative role. “In reviewing Dr. Sewell’s vitae, you will quickly understand why he was named the top candidate for this position. He has excelled in each role, while proving to be an innovative leader in delivering a full, productive collegiate experience to all students. We are pleased to welcome him to the Lincoln University family.”
Dr. Said L. Sewell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Morehouse College, a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy from Texas Southern University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University.
